Our flowers were done by two different florists.

The table decorations came as part of the package from the Assembly Rooms. We got a choice of colours and an offer to try and match the flowers in the bouquets - which they managed wonderfully.

My and Lindsey’s bouquets and all the buttonholes were created by Katherine’s Florists here in Newcastle. They’ve got stores all over, but we went through the service they run in Fenwick’s. They were marvellous - and totally unphased by me only making contact a month before the wedding.

I absolutely loved this moment. Simon had jumped up on the lamp post to help Lil Steve marshall the crowd. Steve evidently decided the photo opportunity was too good to pass up

Well, that all went swimmingly.

As you can see from the photo (note the rings!) Elly and I are now officially civil partners. Married, if you will

We had an absolutely fantabulous time and we hope everyone else who managed to make it up did as well.
